We took a short trip this past weekend and went to Sanibel Island. Â We went fishing in the bay and there were many of these buildings on stilts sending out at sea. Â I thought this abandoned one had some character.
You will probably noticed that I shot this with the new Nikon’s Z7 full frame mirrorless camera. Â Having owned many mirrorless cameras and currently owning Sony’s a7RIII, I would say that Nikon has done a fantastic job with their first full frame mirrorless camera. Â After using it for about a week I would say the ergonomics is great, the buttons and menus are easy to use and navigate. Â The image quality is probably the best in any full frame sensor I’ve used (it should, same sensor as the D850). Â This camera feels like a “real” camera, comparable to DSLR. Â Only thing missing is the “eye autofocus” that you can find on the Sony mirrorless. Â With that said, Sony definitely has some competition.
Last, I also purchased Zeiss 55mm Otus lens and used the new lens adapter for Nikon F mount lenses. Â I would agree with other reviews, it is very comparable to Leica’s 50mm lenses on the market today. Â It is large, that is the only concerning thing!
