This past weekend we drove back home for a birthday party. Â I decided to get up one morning and take a few pictures of the George Rogers Clark Memorial. Â I’m always trying to imagine places to take landscape pictures back home but unfortunately, the majority of what is around is flat farm land. Â This is one of the few unique structures in and around where I’m from.

Last year I sold my Leica 50mm summilux to purchase the 35mm summilux FLE. Â Since that time, I’ve really missed having a more compact 50mm lens (I have the huge noctilux). Â When the Leica 50mm summicron APO was announced I pre-ordered it (Dale Photo). Â Today, it finally came in the mail and even though I’ve only take a few shots, I’m extremely impressed. Â I don’t think I’ve ever had or seen a lens that is as sharp as it. Â Here is one of my first shots.
